My research is in dynamical systems and ergodic theory, with interests in applications to atmospheric and ocean sciences. I am particularly interested in the connections between dynamical systems, probability, and statistical mechanics, and in the use of these tools to understand complex geophysical phenomena. Recently, through a project at M2PI, I have also become interested in quantum computing and its potential applications to climate modeling and stochastic systems.
