Working effectively in teams is an essential professional skill. Effective teamwork can allow a group of interdisciplinary professionals to capitalize on the diversity of their knowledge, expertise, and experience to come up with innovative solutions for complex problems. However, teamwork also comes with inherent challenges, including misunderstandings, miscommunication, and conflicts. Using NASA Earth data with Python APIs
This session follows on directly from the Python - Numpy & Pandas session and provides hands-on experience accessing & using NASA Earthdata Cloud—i.e., freely available satellite data—through Pythonic APIs. We’ll examine environmental risk scenarios (e.g., floods, wildfires) over various defined geographical regions of interest using cloud-based infrastructure and data.
